About Me

 

I am currently working as a Systems Administrator for various clients in industries such as Accounting, Construction, Legal, NonProfits, and more managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, Line of Business applications, and networking and security equipment.

During my time at the University of New Mexico I developed a deep passion for programming things that interact with the user and have found that websites and games are a great way to explore that interaction. Right now I am looking to expand my knowledge any way I can and doing that by working on a couple of projects.

Some fun things I have created

On top of the following examples I have worked on creating a networked game, a creature simulator, a genetic learning algorithm, and a paging mechanism for virtual memory.

Ant Simulator

I am currently trying to work on an ant simulator to mimic the movements of ants and eventually build an entire colony simulation. I have implemented the ant movement by using a Levy flight algorithm. Check the code here

A Simple Shell

For one of my classes I was tasked with building a simple shell that supported 5 basic operators. Foreground and background command execution. File I/O redirection. Process I/O redirection. Check the code here!

Chess Of The Living Dead

A variant of chess titled Chess of the Living Dead given to me by a young entrepenuer named Gabriel Barker. This young man put a new twist on the age old game of chess giving the game a zombie like apocalypse feel. All done in Gamemaker

I am comfortable with the languages C, Java, C++, and familiar with Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Haskell, Scheme and general Linux environments. Outside of programming I have experience working with DSLR cameras as well as working on film sets helping out gaffers, camera operators, and storyboarding.
